About Forever Jan
Built in 2020, Forever Jan is a 60ft Westminster narrowboat that embraces the traditional character of life on the waterways. From her classic exterior styling to the warmth of her interior, she has a timeless, almost retro feel that makes her stand apart from many of the more contemporary boats we build.
Inside, Forever Jan is fully fitted in light oak-faced ply, complemented by solid oak trims throughout. The traditional styling and natural oak finishes give the interior its warm, timeless character.
One of the more unusual requests from her owner was to have his piano on board. So, when the time came, we simply made sure it found its place on the boat and fitted it in for him. It is a small but memorable detail that adds to the personality of Forever Jan and shows that there is always room for something a little different on a bespoke narrowboat.
Forever Jan is one of our more recent boats to take such a traditional approach to design. While built with modern standards of comfort and construction, her appearance and interior deliberately look back to the classic character of a narrowboat. With her warm oak interior, traditional styling and unmistakably homely feel, she is a boat that feels perfectly at home on the canal.
